Our apple-based products

An harvester-owner exploiting 40 hectares of orchards, and produces cider, pommeau and cider brandies.
Apple, the Celtic symbol of Heaven, is here at the heart of four products:

• Odet Vallée Cider : a pure juice and non-pasteurised traditional cider.

• Brittany Pommeau (AOC Brittany Pommeau, 17% alcohol) produced from blending the fresh apple juice with “lambig” (cider brandy) at the onset of fermentation.

• Brittany Lambig (AOR Brittany Cider brandy, 40% alcohol).

• Gwenaval, the 40% alcohol clear apple brandy, created in 2006 and whose fresh apple flavour makes it the ideal drink for cocktails and for deserts.

Ever since the founding of the distillery, the high quality of both brandy and pommeau have been regularly praised. We have been awarded 19 medals, of which 7 gold medals were from the Paris General Agricultural Show.

Our buckwheat whiskies

The result of a long reflexion and a remarkable intuition, a new product has now been added to our more traditional activity based on apples.

• EDDU Silver : a pure buckwheat whisky (40% alcohol), launched in September 2002.
Eddu Silver can only be found in Wine merchants and in Delicatessens.
Global rate: 91/100 “an outstanding arrival of something sweet and simmering… the best whisky to come out of France by some considerable distance” (Jim Murray’s Whisky Bible).

• EDDU Grey Rock, a special 40% alcohol blended whisky, enriched with 30% buckwheat whisky. Global rate: 89/100 “soft, lilting, melt-in-the-mouth… a classic, chic blend that sates the tastebuds” (Jim Murray’s Whisky Bible)

• EDDU Gold : a pure 43% alcohol buckwheat whisky, introduced in September 2006. Only 1, 400 bottles a year are available to whisky lovers. The 2008 vintage are now out of stock, but the 2009 vintage will be available in june of this year.
