Welcome to the Distillerie des Menhirs.
Located in Brittany near Quimper, the Plomelin distillery owes its originality to buckwheat and cider apples, both emblematic products of Brittany, and the range of high quality brandies and whiskies. The adventure really began in 1986 when Guy Le Lay created what was to become the first Brittany Pommeau. This production was then followed by cider, "gwenaval" (brandy) and “lambig” (cider brandy).

Passionate about the art of distilling, the Le Lay family focuses on the creation of a very original whisky, not based on malted barley like Scotch whiskies but on buckwheat, Brittany buckwheat.
Like in Scotland’s pure malt distilleries, this whisky is created in the purest tradition of Scotch whiskies.
Eddu, as this whisky is called (it means buckwheat in the Breton language), succeeded in imposing its own style
If your travels take you to the end of the world, Finistère, a visit can be organized, at the end of which you will be able to taste our pommeaux, brandies and whiskies.
